This is an up close and personal hands-on, visual, lecture workshop experience stitching samples of the many techniques and embellishments illustrated in Jenny’s book by the same name; that appear difficult; but are dynamic, dazzling and easy.

No handout, all information is included in my book "Creative Techniques for Wearables", which is an optional purchase. Students are welcome to take notes and bring cameras for pictures.

A colorful sweatshirt foundation jacket using simple design elements. There are six different views from which to choose, Christmas, Fall, Summer, Teachers, Patriotic and Nautical. Techniques include color, piecing and block design, loose applique, machine quilting and a number of embellishments. For all levels.

Creating the "Just My Look" Vest
Full Day
In this workshop, students will be given information on many different ideas for vests, from Fussy to Country. During the morning session, students will work with a buddy to fit the muslin shell of their pattern with my assistance. Each student will choose their own vest pattern. Many techniques and embellishments will be demonstrated ; techniques that appear difficult; but are dynamic, dazzling and easy. Students will be provided with a my basic vest pattern as part of the pattern fee.

Jenny's Neck Purse
Half Day
This small neck purse is the perfect thing to wear at quilt shows and conferences. Slip in plastic covered pocket for your name tag. Two zipper pockets in back as well as two slip in pockets. Plenty of room for cell phone, small camera, credit cards etc. Size can be adjusted to your needs.

SALES: In Jenny's workshops and lectures a number of items will be available for sale to interested students. The guild / conference will not expect to collect any commission on these sales. Jenny will discuss and demo these items during the class, interested students will have opportunity to purchase at the end of the workshop or lecture. Items included would be: Jenny's patterns and Book Other patterns from different designers for Wearable Workshops Notion items that are demonstrated in the workshop or are relevant to the workshop project. The list of these items can vary from time to time.
Hosting group will be responsible for round trip expenses and all housing and meals accommodations. All other needs will be listed in the contract. |
