Creative Techniques for Wearables # 248
Wednesday evening 6:00-9:00
Up close and personal; lecture, display and demonstration PowerPoint workshop. View techniques that appear difficult; but are dynamic, dazzling and easy. Students are welcome to take notes and pictures.
If you’re interested in purchasing my book, please pre order so I can bring to Long Beach. The shipping charges will be reimbursed and the book will be in the classroom for you.

I personally invite to join your friends as you view these amazingly beautiful quilted and embellished garments, made by invited artists working in the fields of quilting and other textile arts.
My ensemble “High Tea at the Broadmoor” will be modeled and won the Viewer’s Choice Award in Houston.

Stitch n Time Fashion Show
Friday July 24th
3:00-4:00 in the afternoon
Meet the Experts Venue on the Show floor
• I will be hosting the Stitch n Time Fashion Show at the Long Beach Quilt Festival. I look forward to working with old and new friends that choose to participate. It’s a wonderful experience; and I encourage anyone who loves to make embellished garments to join the show.
Participants at Festival are some of the most creative designers, and you are the stars of this low-key, relaxed and fun event.
• Show off your wearable and give more attendees the opportunity to see your garment up close and to learn a little about the pattern, fabrics, techniques, design, etc., used. Plan to model your own garment or have a friend of one of the other participants model it for you. Get a group of friends together to cheer you on as you “strutt your stuff” Better yet, encourage everyone in your group to model their own garment.
• You can deliver your garment to the Education Office in the Classroom 101B (Convention Center) anytime (by Friday 4 p.m.) during Quilt Festival week. Check out www.quilts.com
for the form to be filled out ahead of time or hand in with your garment or pick up the form in the Education room when you delivery your garment.
• Please join us to show your individualized fashion creations and to vote for you favorite garment shown. Fabulous prizes will be awarded to the Viewer’s Choice winner.
• I would appreciate receiving photos and descriptions from you ahead of time.

Magic Machine Applique # 450
Friday evening, 6:00-9:00 pm.
I will have a supply hand dyed fabrics perfect for flowers in fat quarters available in the classroom
Explore the use of fabric color & design to create machine appliqué; embellished with thread painting, and a unique applique stitch. Workshop time will be spent designing flowers. Magically add butterflies and more to your finished piece.
The information on my website is for the all day workshop, this is a half day. Your handout is smaller, you will have option to purchase pattern if you desire.
